RICKY RUDD – No. 88 Snickers Ford Fusion (finished 33rd) –
BEFORE THE RACE, YOU SAID YOU WOULD TAKE MENTAL SNAPSHOTS OF THESE RACE TRACKS AS YOU VISIT THEM FOR WHAT COULD BE THE LAST TIME. WHAT SNAPSHOT DO YOU TAKE FROM HERE? “Not a good one. Loose, that’s what I’ll remember from today. It’s just discouraging. Michigan has been a good track for us over the years, and it’s not like we had a flat or had a problem that put us behind, we just never did run good. Generally, the guys will get this thing adjusted and get it going, but it didn’t happen today for some reason. I’m not sure what the deal was, but we kept banging the tops of the fenders on the tires and was concerned about cutting tires. We just never got it going.”
A LOT OF CARS WERE LOOSE. IS THAT A PRODUCT OF A RACE TRACK THAT HAS SEEN TWO DAYS OF RAIN? “I really can’t say. We were loose on the turn in, but then we were plowing in the center, so we had two or three issues. So, I can’t really say. We weren’t close enough to be able to be a guy to judge off of; I think you’d have to look at the guys who were up in the top 15 – look at those guys and see what they say. The track was different for us today. We just never could get a hold of it like we had during the week.”
