Bank of America 500 - Ricky Rudd Notes RICKY RUDD, SNICKERS® RACING LOWE’S MOTOR SPEEDWAY OCTOBER 13, 2007

RICKY RUDD RETURNS TO THE DRIVER’S SEAT AT LOWE’S MOTOR SPEEDWAY

CHARLOTTE, NC (October 9, 2007) – The NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series travels to Lowe’s Motor Speedway this weekend for the Bank of America 500. Lowe’s Motor Speedway is considered the home track for the majority of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series teams. Along with a weekend of racing at home for the Snickers Racing team, this weekend’s Bank of America 500 marks the return of Ricky Rudd as the driver of the #88 Snickers Ford Fusion. Rudd has been out of the driver’s seat for five weeks as he spent time recovering from a separated shoulder. Rudd and the #88 Snickers Racing team are eager to return to Lowe’s Motor Speedway where earlier in the season- the team walked away with their best finish of the year in seventh place.

Quoting Snickers Driver, Ricky Rudd:
How are you feeling knowing that you have been cleared to return to drive the #88 this weekend? “I’m really excited to get back into the car this weekend. We had our best race of the year at Charlotte and came away with a seventh place finish. We just had a really strong car and ran in the top-10 all day long. I’m hoping to have similar results this weekend and I’m just eager to get back in the car and bring home another solid finish for our Snickers racing team at Charlotte. I really am ready to be back on the race track this weekend.”

How is your shoulder feeling, and do you have any concerns in regards to it for this weekend’s race? “My shoulder still is not at 100 percent yet but we’re going to have to see how it handles being in the car for practice. It may turn out to be hard on me to run the 500 miles at Charlotte this weekend, but I’m not going into this weekend with the intention of merely starting the race, I’m there to complete the entire race and that’s my goal. I won’t know if I’m going to be able to run the whole race until we get there, but I would not have gotten back in the car if I didn’t feel I had a very realistic chance of running all 500 miles Saturday night.”

# NOTES OF INTEREST: Rudd has 60 starts at Charlotte, which is the most starts of any active NEXTEL Cup Series driver, and is second-most on the list of all-time NEXTEL Cup Series drivers
