COMBOS FORD MAKES SEASON DEBUT AT POCONO THIS WEEKEND

CHARLOTTE, NC (July 31, 2007) – The NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series heads to Pocono Raceway this weekend for the Pennsylvania 500 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. This weekend the #88 team will be running the bright orange Combos® Ford Fusion for the first time this season instead of their traditional Snickers Ford paint scheme. The Pennsylvania 500 will mark the second race at Pocono for the season. Ricky Rudd and his Combos racing team hope that this trip will allow them to complete an entire race since the previous visit in June was a shortened race due to a rain-filled weekend.

Quoting Combos Driver, Ricky Rudd:
How are you feeling about heading back to Pocono for the second time this season? “I always like racing at Pocono because it’s always just a really fun track and I’ve been lucky enough to have had a lot of good races there as well. When we were there in June earlier this season we had a really great car but we weren’t able to see how good of a car it was due to the race being shortened for rain. It was really unfortunate because there was a point where we were running up in the top-twenty but the rain really never allowed us to run the race we wanted to. This weekend we have our Combos Ford paint scheme making its debut and hopefully the weather will cooperate this time.”
